Krenkerup Polo Academy
Krenkerup Polo Academy teaches everyone from ages 8yrs + and all abilities; from non-riders to those who are comfortable in the saddle or even experienced on the polo field. Polo ponies are patient and steady, and Krenkerup Polo prides itself with having a stable of first-rate, well-trained horses.
Polo is an exciting and thrilling sport for both the player and spectator – but it is also a contact sport. Safety and gentlemanly behavior, on and off the polo field, is exercised through good horsemanship and by encouraging players and spectators to respects those principles.
At Krenkerup Polo, it is a top priority for us to ensure that our clients get the maximum out of each lesson. To ensure this, lessons at Krenkerup Polo are instructed by an experienced and reputable instructor, accredited by the Hurlingham Polo Association, and guaranteed to make the experience both fun and safe.
Clients should arrive ready to play polo in comfortable and appropriate clothing. Jeans or jodhpurs are ideal, with riding boots or shoes with a small heel. Krenkerup provides all other necessary equipment.
No riding experience is required.
For those clients wishing to bring their own polo ponies, Krenkerup has paddocks, stables, practice grounds and enclosures in very close proximity to the field.
Introduction to Polo
Players can be sure to learn the most crucial mallet swings using both foot mallets and our wooden horse before learning how to ride for polo. At the end of the lesson, players will put into practice what they have learnt by playing a mini chukka together on the beautiful grounds.
Individual lessons are one-to-one sessions that are tailored to each individual client, offering time to focus on specific aspects of one’s game. The HPA-accredited instructor will ensure to cater to each client’s abilities in order to provide a worthwhile and fun experience.
Group Lessons are a great way to get a real feel for being out on the polo field. It encourages players to works as a team and get into the competitive spirit of the game.
Instructional Chukkas are one-hour sessions with an HPA-accredited instructor, offering a controlled environment to focus on tactics and rules.
